It's a Socktopus!

So I made this silly little Socktopus and wanted to share it with you guys! I used this tutorial to make him: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/socktopus If you look at the very bottom my Soctopus is featured! How cool is that?

Arrested Development Stitch

It's sure been a while since I last posted. Anyways here is my latest cross stitch piece which was inspired by the Bluth family.

Sorry for the low quality pic. I can't seem to locate my camera and am using my phone in it's place.

Completed Necklace and Earrings!

So here they are:

Tonight's Adventure: Earrings!

Hello fellow adventurers thanks for stopping by! I haven't made earrings since I was a teenager and I think we all know it's been a little while since those days.

Tonight I made these cute crystal and rose quartz earrings. I used all sterling silver findings as I have very sensitive skin. I'm also in the process of making a matching necklace, however that's going to take a little more time. I'll make sure to post some pics when I'm done.

I'm also working on a relatively large cross stitch project. I am taking a break from it for now because my eyes and hands are worn out and tired. Hopefully I'll finish up that cross stitch some time next week.

More Wire Wrapping

Today I practiced some more wire wrapping. I made a few other things, but here are my two favorite creations of the day. Pictured below are a blue beaded bracelet wrapped with sterling silver wire, and a pearl necklace with a sterling silver heart clasp wrapped with silver colored copper wire.

Wire Wrapping

Today I learned how to wire wrap beads. It's a really fun technique that was quite easy to learn. I modified a technique from a tutorial in order to make it simpler and more efficient. If anyone is interested in learning how to make wire wrapped jewelry let me know and I'll do my best to explain it or point you in the direction of a decent tutorial. I'd make a video myself, but I'm overly self conscious. I may... maybe... possibly... break out the web cam if there is a demand for a tutorial.

Pika Pika!

Evoloution of the Pacman Stitch

This was my second attempt at cross stitch. I feel that the medium is fantastic for recreating 8-bit characters and scenery. I've done a few others and am currently working on a new 8-bit inspired project. You can count on me posting photos of the completed project!

"Hanukkah Scarf"

This was my first attempt at knitting. This photo shows it as a work in progress. I would like to report that I have finished the "Hanukkah Scarf" and enjoy it thoroughly. For my next project I'm looking to knit some place mats.

Erica Presents: An Alfred Hitchcock Cross Stitch

I thought this was going to be a quick stitch, and boy was I wrong. This simple silhouette took hours!!! I would also like to mention that I created the pattern for this project.
